Preface

Myself and the family were playing some Bedrock Minecraft hosted out of my Home Lab. In my Home Lab I host game servers using a great tool called Application Management Panel by CubeCoders based in the UK. I refer to this application as AMP. However my brother wanted to add Datapacks and that is a very tedious process in Bedrock Minecraft.

This below was my process for importing our world from the AMP server into my Singleplayer worlds. Once you have it imported as a world in-game; it is easy to import it directly to your Minecraft Realm from the menu.

Process

  1. Refer to your Game Host for the steps required to Download your world via FTP or SCP. Once you have your world downloaded, be sure to extract it IF it is a compressed folder.

  2. Press Win + R, type %LocalAppData%, and press Enter. This will take you to the LocalAppData folder specific to your Windows User Profile.

  3. Navigate to the following file path. This is where Minecraft Bedrock stores singleplayer worlds.

Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe looks like the folder has a UUID but this is in fact static. So the full file path on Windows will look something like, C:\Users\$USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds

  1. Rename the world folder you would like to import to a random string. Bedrock assigns random names to worlds on your PC. Example: g0b6GHf2wc or a1b2c3d4e5 2025-01-21-filepath
  2. Move or copy this renamed folder to your local minecraftWorlds directory. Ensure it is not a compressed folder. If it is, you must extract it first.
  3. Launch Minecraft Bedrock on your PC. If you had your game open, you will need to restart it.
  4. Check if the world appears in your Singleplayer Worlds list.
  5. If it doesn’t show up, open the levelname.txt file inside the world folder and edit it to match the desired world name. 2025-01-21-InGameSP
  6. You can now import it into your Realm from the Realm menu In-Game.
